Sleeping in Bruges Being a touristic top location in Belgium, there are many sleeping facilities in and around Bruges (hostels, youth hostels, bed and breakfasts, hotels,...). Since it can be very crowdy during high season, check well in advance for accomodation that you like. If you are planning to spend several days in the area you might also consider staying a few days in the countryside near Bruges. There are several very nice little towns and villages (such as Damme, Oostkerke, Lissewege,...) that are worth a detour. The surrounding "polders" are very nice for walking and cycling. The sea and places like Sluis (known for shopping) are closeby so depending on the weather, you have different options.
