General information on Dinant Getting there by car. From Namur via the Chaussée de Dinant, that runs alongside the Meuse river. From the south via the N95 or N915. From other directions via the Route Charlemagne (exit 20 of the E411 Namur - Luxemburgh). Parking in the center is limited and paying but just outside the center there is free parking (walking distance).
Getting there by train. The train station of Dinant is located on the left bank of the river and is in walking distance of all the sights of the town. You can find the schedule of the trains on www.belgianrail.be. Getting around in the town. All sights are in walking distance of eachother. The citadel can be reached via steep stairs or a cableway. Tours. Popular are the so-called "croisières", river cruises on the Meuse that lead you past the most important sights of the area. You can book a tour at the quay at one of the boats. Tourist office. The tourist office is located on the left bank of the river. Address: Avenue Cadoux, 8.
